Lakin will go to jail for trying to discharge his duty because so many others had ignored theirs. That we would knowingly and willingly sacrifice one good man to deny the truth and so save America from embarrassment is a measure of how far this country has fallen. Dear Lt Col Lakin, I have been pleased with your stand on the cornerstone of every military member's "Oath" and the Constitution. So few civillians can understand that "Lawfull Orders" is such a deeply rooted concept that it is in the Oath for Enlistment. This is the very concept that convicted German NCO's in Nuremburg for War Crimes after WWII, for obeying "Un-lawfull Orders" to execute Jews. It is also behind the concept of Specialist Mike New for refusing to report for deployment wearing the Not Legal UN beret and Flag. That resulted in court martial and discharge, plus many years of appeals that the Supream Court has "Failed" to hear his case. I have been following your story and praying for the "Justice" to come, While I am supporting the troops by driving in their convoys in Iraq as civillian contractor. My time in service was 32 total, 13 for points and 10 years cumulative active. We can only do so much, thanks for your fighting for all of us. God Bless you and your family.· JT

Of the mass of spineless cowards that make up our American "military", Mr. Lakin rises above them all as he has demonstrated that he is NOT a mindless idiot and exhibits the courage of General Patton (who, let's remember, was murdered BY the "military" medical people in a "military" hospital. Before some of you jump on Terry for his current strategy, remember what's he's done and will do. His name is now part of every 'birther discussion' and his effort catapulted many states, with more to follow, to enact procedural laws to require all candidates, at every level, to prove elibilibility.· For this alone we owe Terry our gratitude. So if you do anything today, get after your state elected officials. Let's get every state on board for 2012. If not now, then we will have some answers.
